About Me
I started Classical Singing lessons formally at eleven years old where I was schooled
privately by a scholar from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. I went on to
have lessons with this teacher for many years and throughout this time he took me
through the ABRSM exams to Grade 8, where I gained a distinction. My teacher was
both encouraging and dedicated and many of the exercises and techniques he taught
me I still use today. In addition to these lessons, I studied Choral work, Music
Theory and various other singing techniques with a variety of professors until I
went to drama school at 17. Whilst there, I continued my private vocal coaching
both within college and externally.
Alongside my singing lessons, I also began peforming in professional productions
from the age of 11 and have appeared in a variety of shows ranging from Musical
Theatre through to Opera. I also took part in various singing competitions nationwide,
regular concert performances, residential courses and was the lead vocalist in a
series of Jazz bands.
I first began teaching whilst at Drama School and throughout subsequent years have
taught adult and child beginners, those who wish to improve and current working
professionals all over London and Suffolk. I now offer lessons to students of all
levels and ages from my base in Ipswich.
My lessons encourage a relaxed, fun and focused approach to singing and my aim
is to help my students unlock their potential and really explore their voices
in a safe environment. If you would like to book a free consultation please contact me.
